Double Work
Pretty much when I'm not at work, I'm at Capricorn with Benny and Terry.
Been cleaning soooo much, grabbing things for the guys and trying to draw when there's nothing happening. I'm pretty luck that they're letting me hang out and watch them work so I can learn some new stuff.
Terry decided he wants to teach me to pierce, cos apparently people keep coming in and asking for piercings and they have no time to do it, so that could be cool, hopefully I don't ruin anyone's face.
They've been throwing a few dollars my way for helping out, which is pretty unbelievable for me. Most people in my position would probably be getting abused and treated like shit for the same opportunity, so I'm fucking psyched with the way things are at the moment.
So yeah, things are pretty good, burning myself out a bit cos I've barely been at home, but I prefer that over sitting on my laptop all night doing fuck all.
Couple of shitty iPhone pics yo..
Twistie on steroids. Not exaggerating, but 90% of that was cheese powder and it was next level salty.
Didn't know what to draw today and had Jim Phillips Skate Art book in my car.
That's all for now bloke.

Wednesday, bruv..
Dear Diary,
Mood: Apathetic
Oi that song is funny, I don’t care who you are. Current status: at work, listening to James Brown.
On the weekend I saw some friends which was cool, but that’s boring unless you know who they are. Saturday I went down to Benny’s shop and was cleaning tubes. Ben and Terry told me to keep a tally of how many I’d done. They’re giving me 50c each, so $1 a tube, and I’d clocked up 50, so they gave me $50.
It’s actually fucking cool as because anyone who hangs out in a tattoo shop would be getting nothing, and probably being told to fuck off. But Benny and Terry are both awesome dudes and always teaching me stuff and treating me like a human being when I’m there (I’ve heard horror stories) so I’m in an amazing position. I need to practice drawing a lot more, cos we all know I’m really shit at it, but that’s good motivation.
Anyway, was gonna save all the money I earn there and from selling random shit and keep it for later, but this morning I changed my mind and bought Ben Corday’s Tattoo Travel Book, cos I don’t really have any of my own reference books. So now I gotta wait a few weeks for that but it’ll be worth it.
Last night my pet snake Lil Jayne bit me for the first time. It sucked, but it was more the shock than anything. It didn’t really hurt, but I was shaking like a motherfucker cos she caught me off guard. And now I have a little bruise surrounded by teeth marks on my finger, ahwell, try again tomorrow I guess.
Oh yeah, last night the family was around for dinner, and we were all just talking shit and my 25 year old brother said something about this Mum who runs a bakery, cos he used to be friends with her son in primary school, so I said "Oh yeah, is she a MILF?" and my brother gave me a real dirty look and said "Don't say stupid shit like that Pete.", so you know, HE'S GROWING UP FAST.
I drew some depictions on post-it notes down there. They’re very true to life, so check them out.
Will bust out the camera tomorrow probably!
And I'm still using this phone app, soz boz.

Reboot
Had to download this shitty iphone app cos blogger is on gmail and so is my work email so I can't have the email I use for this and work one running at the same time. The gay selfie of me is meant to be up here but it's down at the bottom. That's me about an hour or two ago.
Don't know how many times I've tried to reboot this, but here goes.
YO!
Tumblr sucks and I wanna have a bit more freedom when posting, including bitching heaps, more photos in one post, what I'm reading, music, etc. (Please bear with me while I figure out the best way to get images on here.)
So what's up?
I'm Pete Street. I'm 23. Aries (satanic ram).
If ANYONE happens to be reading this and doesn't actually know me that well, this is what's up.
I started an apprenticeship in graphic pre press at the start of this year, so basically I work at a newspaper designing ads and laying out pages to go to print.
It's cool. It's not what I want to do forever, but it's a sweet job, everyone is nice, I can listen to music and
eat junk food at my desk and I get a day off every week (plus the weekend).
Almost two years post-liver transplant. I can’t drink. I don’t like to party and go out to clubs.
I’m sure I’ll tell y’all more in the future.
What now?
I’m currently reading The Tao of Wu by The RZA of Wu-Tang Clan.
I know what you’re already thinking, but it seems to be okay for everyone to go out and get a Wu-Tang honeycomb mash-up tattoo without a second thought, so I figure I’m allowed to read this book.
A while back I bought The Wu-Tang Manual, the first book RZA wrote about them. It was pretty cool, explained a lot of the meaning and philosophy behind their music, a little bio on each member and some explanations of their lyrics.
I was watching Repo Men a when it first came out, it’s like a futuristic organ transplant kinda deal (which is fitting) with Jude Law and Forrest Whittaker. Jude Law has to go to this dude’s house and repossess and organ, and it turns out to be RZA, obviously playing another character, but he was super cool. He was this musician/producer guy who was doing cocaine (I assume) but he was so chilled out and seemed like the coolest motherfucker of all time. I dunno, it was really intriguing.
While reading The Wu-Tang Manual, I always thought the religious side of it was cool. I’m not really that religious, but I mean shit like the bible, whether you believe it’s true or not, is a fucking cool story. So when I got The Tao of Wu, I was super excited cos he just focuses on himself, his beliefs, how he got to where he is, the history of the clan and of course, the death of Ol’ Dirty Bastard. He doesn’t go on about it for ages, but I dunno, the last time he saw ODB was kind of heavy, you gotta read it.
So, I’m hoping I finish that today. I’ve been waiting on Corey Taylor’s book to come in the mail (singer of Slipknot) and I dunno if it’s been lost or something, but yeah that’ll be next.
And apart from that I’ve been drawing, hanging with Benny at the tattoo shop, watching Top Shot, making new friends and always seeing the old ones.
This is just the shitty intro post, hopefully it’ll get better.
I just ate a king-size Butterfinger at my desk, so things are pretty good right now.
Soiya.
